Touch Loop frames two nervous systems in an intimate feedback
loop of touching and being touched. In irrational gestures towards imagined
sculptures, the performers question their own senses. Which is the same thing
as questioning how they relate to the things around them. Are we interconnected
through our touch? Or is touch the fact of our separation, where we are held
back at the other’s borders? The piece engages questions about what our bodies
feel, and how we are moved by those feelings.
