Matthias Verein

Der Matthias Verein fördert freie Kunst mit besonderem Fokus auf zeitgenössischen Tanz und Choreografie. Im Zentrum stehen künstlerische Aufführungen, Vermittlungsformate, Kurse und Publikationen, die neue Perspektiven auf Körper, Choreografie und gesellschaftliches Zusammenleben eröffnen.

Der Verein versteht Kunst als offenen Raum für Begegnung, Austausch und Experiment. Er begleitet Künstlerinnen und Künstler in der Entwicklung ihrer Projekte und schafft Strukturen für freie, unabhängige künstlerische Arbeit.

Präsidentin ist Helene Knutti Vaessen. Gemeinsam mit Luke Wilkins und Antonia Ravens engagiert sie sich für die nachhaltige Förderung der freien Tanz- und Kunstszene. Der Verein existiert seit 2020, sein Sitz ist in Allschwil, Baselland.

The Matthias Association supports independent art with a particular focus on contemporary dance and choreography. At its core are artistic performances, mediation formats, courses, and publications that open up new perspectives on the body, choreography, and social coexistence.

The association understands art as an open space for encounter, exchange, and experimentation. It supports artists in developing their projects and creates structures for free and independent artistic work.

The association is chaired by Helene Knutti Vaessen. Together with Luke Wilkins and Antonia Ravens, she is committed to the sustainable support of the independent dance and arts scene. The association has existed since 2020 and is based in Allschwil.
